概念说明CONCEPTS
波纹覆盖编辑(Ripple Overwrite)是 Resolve 独有的四点编辑——源片段的入出点和时间线的入出点同时生效,用新镜头覆盖时间线上圈定的那一段,时长差自动吸收。
- 四个点全算数:普通覆盖(Overwrite)只用三个点,会忽略时间线出点;波纹覆盖把两段时长都纳入计算。
- 时长差自动吸收:新镜头比圈定区域长,后续片段整体后移;短了就前移补位——不留空隙,也不多吞内容。
- 速度保持原样:与适配填充(Fit to Fill)靠变速塞满区域不同,波纹覆盖让源片段按原速播放。
- 区域外绝对安全:变化只发生在圈定区域内部,其余镜头的顺序和内容原样保留。
操作步骤STEPS
- 在源查看器中打开新镜头,按
I和O打好入点和出点 - 在时间线上按
I和O圈出要被替换的区域
- 把源查看器画面拖到时间线查看器,在编辑类型覆盖层中选择
Ripple Overwrite(或按Shift-F10)
- 连播检查替换点前后:新镜头已就位,后续片段自动让位
练习PRACTICE
- 在练习时间线上圈住任意一个镜头,用另一段素材做波纹覆盖,观察后续片段的移动方向。
- 故意选一段比圈定区域长一倍的素材做波纹覆盖,再和普通覆盖(
F10)的结果对比差异。
常见问题FAQ
波纹覆盖和普通覆盖有什么区别?
普通覆盖是三点编辑,忽略时间线出点,从入点开始按源片段长度往下铺;波纹覆盖是四点编辑,严格落进圈定区域,时长差靠移动后续片段吸收。
为什么不用适配填充(Fit to Fill)?
适配填充靠给源片段变速来塞满区域,动作会快进或慢放;波纹覆盖保持原速,只调整时间线长度。素材速度不能动时选后者。
时间线上的入出点没打会怎样?
少一个点就凑不成四点编辑。先确认源片段和时间线两边都有入出点,时间线打点的细节见 入点和出点。

Ripple Overwrite is Resolve's own four-point edit — the source In/Out points and the timeline In/Out points all count at once. The new shot covers the marked section, and any duration difference is absorbed automatically.
- All four points matter: a plain Overwrite edit uses only three points and ignores the timeline Out point; Ripple Overwrite factors in both durations.
- Differences absorbed by rippling: if the new shot runs longer than the marked section, later clips shift down; if shorter, they shift up — no gaps, no extra footage eaten.
- Speed stays untouched: unlike Fit to Fill, which retimes the source to fill the section, Ripple Overwrite plays the source at its original speed.
- Everything outside is safe: the change is confined to the marked section; the order and content of all other clips stay put.
Steps操作步骤
- Open the new shot in the source viewer and press
IandOto mark In and Out points - On the timeline, press
IandOto mark the section to be replaced
- Drag from the source viewer onto the timeline viewer and pick
Ripple Overwritefrom the edit-type overlays (or pressShift-F10)
- Play through both sides of the replacement: the new shot sits in place and the downstream clips have made room
Practice练习
- Mark any clip on your practice timeline, ripple-overwrite it with another shot, and watch which way the downstream clips move.
- Deliberately pick a source twice as long as the marked section, ripple-overwrite it, then compare the result against a plain Overwrite (
F10).
FAQ常见问题
What's the difference between Ripple Overwrite and a plain overwrite?
A plain Overwrite is a three-point edit: it ignores the timeline Out point and lays the source down for its full length. Ripple Overwrite is a four-point edit that stays inside the marked section, absorbing the difference by moving downstream clips.
Why not use Fit to Fill instead?
Fit to Fill retimes the source to squeeze into the section, so motion speeds up or slows down; Ripple Overwrite keeps the original speed and only adjusts timeline length. When the footage must play at normal speed, choose the latter.
What if I forgot to mark In/Out on the timeline?
Missing a point means you can't make a four-point edit. Make sure both the source and the timeline carry In/Out points — see In & Out Points for the details of timeline marking.
