色域是一台设备（或一个标准）能表达的颜色范围——在 CIE 1931 马蹄色度图上就是一块三角形区域。
- Rec.709：网络视频的通行色域，日常交付的默认目标。
- DCI-P3：数字影院的色域，比 709 宽一圈。
- Rec.2020：HDR 时代的宽色域标准，罩住前两者。
- 五维图的一角：色域决定颜色那格能铺多宽；色彩容量还要乘上亮度范围（见 色彩容量）。
A gamut is the range of colors a device (or a standard) can express — on the CIE 1931 chromaticity diagram it is a triangle.
- Rec.709: the default color space of online video — the usual delivery target.
- DCI-P3: digital cinema's gamut, a ring wider than 709.
- Rec.2020: the wide-gamut standard of the HDR era; contains both.
- One vertex of the five-axis chart: gamut sets how wide the color leg spreads; color volume multiplies it by luminance range (see Color Volume).
