概念说明CONCEPTS

色彩管理(Color Management)是把各台摄影机的"色彩方言"翻译成同一种语言的工作流程——RCM 读取素材元数据,把五花八门的色域(gamut)和伽马(gamma)统一映射到你的输出色彩空间,全程不动原始素材。

  • 问题出在色域和伽马:每家厂商都自定义自己的色域和影调曲线;Log 素材在普通显示器上发灰发淡是它的正常状态,不是拍坏了。
  • RCM 自动翻译:把项目设置里的色彩科学(Color Science)切成 DaVinci YRGB Color Managed,带元数据的素材会被自动识别并正确显示。
  • 三个色彩空间各管一段:输入色彩空间(Input Color Space)管"素材从哪来",处理模式管"中间怎么算",输出色彩空间(Output Color Space)管"最后交付成什么"。
  • 输出随时可换:今天交付网络 SDR 就输出 Rec.709,明天要 HDR 只改一个选项——原始宽色域信息一直都在,这是色彩管理工作流最大的红利。
  • 色彩管理 ≠ 调色:它只统一所有素材的"起点";过曝的素材管理完还是过曝,曝光和白平衡仍要你动手。

操作步骤STEPS

  1. 点右下角的 Project Settings,选择 Color Management 类别项目设置中的色彩管理
  2. Color Science 下拉菜单切换为 DaVinci YRGB Color Managed
  3. 按素材选处理预设:纯 SDR 素材选 SDR;混有 HDR/Log 素材选 HDR(保住高光细节),输出色彩空间保持 Rec.709
  4. Save 并留意 Viewer——带元数据的素材立刻从灰蒙蒙变得正常
  5. 仍有发灰的素材:右键它在时间线上的缩略图,选 Input Color Space,按拍摄机型指定(如 DJI > D-Gamut/D-Log手动指定输入色彩空间
  6. 想核对每条素材的识别结果:在媒体池加上 Input Color Space 列,一目了然

练习PRACTICE

  1. 找一条 Log 素材,在色彩管理开、关两种状态下各截一张图,说出色域映射到底做了什么。
  2. 给一条无元数据的素材故意指定错误的 Input Color Space,再改回正确的,观察画面从怪异到正常的变化。

常见问题FAQ

Log 素材灰蒙蒙的,是拍坏了吗?

没有。Log 保留了超出显示器能力的高光和色彩信息,发灰是它的正常状态。色彩管理负责把它映射回显示器看得懂的范围。

开了色彩管理,是不是就不用调色了?

不是。色彩管理只把不同素材拉到同一起跑线:过曝的仍过曝,偏色的仍偏色。曝光、白平衡、风格化,之后照常在节点里做。

输出色彩空间该选什么?

看交付目标:网络和普通电视一般选 Rec.709。它随时可以在交付前改,不用重做调色——这正是色彩管理工作流的好处。

为什么有的素材没有被自动识别?

它的文件里没有色彩元数据(常见于转码过的素材)。右键素材手动指定 Input Color Space,或在媒体池里批量指定即可。

Concepts概念说明

Color management is the workflow that translates every camera's "color dialect" into one shared language — RCM reads clip metadata and maps all those different gamuts and gammas onto your output color space, without touching the source media.

  • Gamut and gamma are the culprits: every manufacturer customizes its own color range and tonal curve; a log clip looking flat and washed-out on a normal display is its natural state, not a shooting mistake.
  • RCM translates automatically: switch the Color Science in Project Settings to DaVinci YRGB Color Managed, and clips carrying metadata are recognized and displayed correctly on their own.
  • Three color spaces, three jobs: the Input Color Space says where a clip comes from, the processing mode says how the math runs in the middle, and the Output Color Space says what you finally deliver.
  • Swap the output anytime: deliver Rec.709 for web SDR today, switch to HDR tomorrow by changing one menu — the wide-gamut source data is always intact. That's the biggest dividend of a managed workflow.
  • Management is not grading: it only gives every clip the same starting line; an overexposed clip is still overexposed afterward — exposure and white balance remain your job.

  1. Click Project Settings in the lower-right corner and choose the Color Management categoryColor management in Project Settings
  2. Set the Color Science dropdown to DaVinci YRGB Color Managed
  3. Pick a processing preset for your media: SDR for all-SDR sources; HDR when HDR/log clips are mixed in (it preserves highlight detail) — keep the output color space at Rec.709
  4. Click Save and watch the Viewer — clips with metadata instantly snap from flat to normal
  5. Still a flat clip? Right-click its timeline thumbnail, choose Input Color Space, and assign its camera profile (e.g. DJI > D-Gamut/D-Log)Manually assigning an input color space

Practice练习

  1. Take a log clip and screenshot it with color management off and on; explain in one sentence what the gamut mapping actually did.
  2. Deliberately assign a wrong Input Color Space to a metadata-free clip, then set the right one — watch the picture go from bizarre to normal.

FAQ常见问题

My log clip looks gray and hazy — is it ruined?

No. Log keeps more highlight and color information than your display can show; flat is its normal state. Color management maps it back into a range your monitor understands.

With color management on, do I still need to grade?

Yes. Management only brings different clips to the same starting line: overexposed stays overexposed, a cast stays a cast. Exposure, white balance and looks still happen in your nodes.

Which output color space should I pick?

Follow the delivery target: Rec.709 is the norm for web and standard TVs. You can change it any time before delivery without redoing the grade — that's the point of a managed workflow.

Why wasn't one of my clips recognized automatically?

Its file carries no color metadata — common after transcoding. Right-click the clip and assign its Input Color Space manually, or set a whole bin at once in the media pool.
