1. 点击 Mixer按钮，重新打开混音器面板。Click the Mixer button to reopen the mixer panel.

你大概已经看到（听到）了：整段采访的电平在约 -6 dBFS 到 -20 dBFS 之间起伏！这个差值叫做 dynamic range（动态范围）。通常需要压缩对白等音频的动态范围，让电平更稳定，可能要把响的部分压低、把弱的部分抬高，或两者结合。As you can see (and no doubt hear), the levels throughout this interview fluctuate from around -6 dBFS to as low as 20 dBFS! The difference between these values is called the dynamic range. You’ll generally want to reduce the dynamic range of certain audio clips, such as dialogue, for a more consistent level. This might mean making louder parts of the audio quieter, vice versa, or a combination of both.

作为经验值，对白电平应落在混音器黄色区间（-18 dBFS 到 -9 dBFS）：轻声细语靠近下沿，喊叫靠近上沿，常规对白大约在 -12 dBFS 左右。As a rule of thumb, you want your dialogue audio to sit in the yellow area of the mixer (between -18 dBFS and -9 dBFS). Quiet, softly spoken lines might be toward the bottom of this range, and shouted lines will be toward the higher end. Normal dialogue levels are set around -12 dBFS.

This results in a more consistent audio level across the track without you having to adjust the levels of each individual clip!

听完 DIALOGUE 轨道后，关闭 AI Dialogue Leveler 控件。After listening to the DIALOGUE track, close the AI Dialogue Leveler controls.

点击 VO 轨道的 Solo按钮，以便与 DIALOGUE 轨道一起监听，然后播放该轨道末尾的片段，注意其音量。Click the Solo control for the VO track so you can hear this track alongside the DIALOGUE track, and play the clip at the end of this track, noting the audio levels.

虽然你也可以单独调整这一个片段的音量，但把 AI Dialogue Leveler 作为 Track FX 应用仍然有优势：正如在 DIALOGUE 轨道上看到的，一组控件会影响同一轨道上的所有片段。因此，日后若在 VO 轨道上添加新片段，它们会自动沿用该轨道的 AI Dialogue Leveler 设置。While you could adjust the levels of this clip independently (it is only one clip after all), there’s still an advantage to applying the AI Dialogue Leveler as a Track FX. As you’ve seen from the DIALOGUE track, one set of controls affects all clips along the same track. Therefore, if you were to add additional clips to the VO track later, they would automatically fall under the track’s AI Dialogue Leveler settings.

在调音台中为 VO 轨道启用 Dialogue Leveler Track FX，打开控件，将下拉菜单设置为 “Optimize moderate levels”，与 DIALOGUE 轨道的操作相同。Enable the Dialogue Leveler Track FX for the VO track in the mixer, open the controls, and set the menu to “Optimize moderate levels” as you did with the DIALOGUE track.

If you prefer to apply your own adjustments to the dynamic range of clips on a track, you can use the built-in Dynamics controls. Simply double-click the Dynamics controls in the mixer to open them in a separate window, allowing you to apply adjustments to the audio using an Expander or Gate, a Compressor, and a Limiter.
