概念说明CONCEPTS

混音(Mixing)是在 Fairlight 混音器(Mixer)里平衡各轨道的音量、动态、声像和频率,让它们合成一个整体的过程——编辑页管"片段级"调整,Fairlight 管"轨道级"精修。

  • 每条轨一根通道条:混音器里每轨是一条 channel strip,推子(Fader)控制整条轨道的电平,一改全轨生效。
  • EQ 管频率:双击通道条的 EQ 打开 6-Band Equalizer,削弱干扰频率、提升好听频率,自带预设可起步。
  • 动态管起伏:双击 Dynamics 打开动态面板,Compressor 压平大起伏、Limiter 给电平封顶、Gate 挡住低噪声。
  • 总线是总出口:时间线底部的 Bus 1 是整条时间线的立体声输出,所有轨道最终都汇进它。
  • 自动化管变化:电平要随时间变化(某句太轻、结尾渐弱)时用自动化(Automation)记录推子动作,而不是一刀切。

操作步骤STEPS

  1. Shift-7 切到 Fairlight 页,拖动混音器左缘展开所有通道条
  2. 回放时间线,用各轨推子粗调平衡,眼睛盯住电平表Fairlight 混音器的通道条与推子
  3. 双击对话轨的 EQ,从预设起步(如 Dialog – Male lav finisher),边回放边开关对比6-Band Equalizer 窗口
  4. 双击 Dynamics,用 Compressor 收窄动态范围,必要时开 Limiter 封顶
  5. 音乐需要自动闪避时,在混音器 Options (…)Visible Track FX > Ducker(见 音乐闪避
  6. 最后盯 Bus 1 电平表整体复查,确认输出不飙红过载

练习PRACTICE

  1. 给对话轨套一个 EQ 预设,回放中反复开关 EQ,说出你听到的差别。

常见问题FAQ

片段音量和轨道推子到底调哪个?

先片段后轨道。单个片段的电平用检查器或增益线调(见 片段增益线),整条轨道的统一电平才用混音器推子。

EQ 完全不会调,从哪下手?

从预设下手。6-Band Equalizer 自带对话、音乐等场景预设,选一个接近的边听边微调;回放时开关 EQ 对比最明显。

什么时候需要自动化?

电平需要随时间变化时。整轨一个电平就够就不用它;某句台词太轻、片尾要渐弱,才是自动化的活。

Concepts概念说明

Mixing is the process of balancing each track's volume, dynamics, pan, and frequencies in the Fairlight Mixer so they work as a whole — the edit page handles clip-level tweaks; Fairlight handles track-level polish.

  • One channel strip per track: every track gets a channel strip in the mixer; its Fader sets the level of the entire track at once.
  • EQ shapes frequencies: double-click a strip's EQ to open the 6-Band Equalizer — cut distracting frequencies, boost the pleasant ones, with presets to start from.
  • Dynamics tame the swings: double-click Dynamics for the dynamics panel — Compressor evens out loud peaks, Limiter caps the level, Gate blocks low-level noise.
  • The bus is the final exit: Bus 1 at the bottom of the timeline is the timeline's stereo output — every track eventually sums into it.
  • Automation rides levels over time: when a level must change mid-track (a quiet line, an ending fade), Automation records fader moves instead of one flat setting.

  1. Press Shift-7 to switch to the Fairlight page, and drag the mixer's left edge to reveal all channel strips

  5. For automatic music ducking, choose Visible Track FX > Ducker in the mixer's Options (…) menu (see Music Ducking)
  6. Finally watch the Bus 1 meter for a full review and make sure the output never hits the red

Practice练习

  1. Apply an EQ preset to the dialogue track, toggle the EQ on and off during playback, and describe the difference you hear.
  2. Enable the Ducker on the music track, set its Source to the dialogue track, and hear the music step aside automatically.

FAQ常见问题

Clip volume or track fader — which one do I adjust?

Clip first, track second. Use the Inspector or gain line for individual clip levels (see Clip Gain Line); the mixer fader sets the whole track uniformly.

I know nothing about EQ — where do I start?

Start from presets. The 6-Band Equalizer ships with dialogue and music presets; pick a close one and fine-tune by ear. Toggling EQ on and off during playback makes the difference obvious.

When do I actually need automation?

When levels must change over time. If one track level works everywhere, skip it; a too-quiet line or an ending fade-out is automation's job.
