概念说明CONCEPTS

窗口遮罩(Window Masking)是用 Power Window 画形状、限制调整范围的完整工作流——二级调色中最基础的隔离方法;它的功夫不在"画出来",而在"让人看不出来"。

  • 画到画框外:控制点可以拖出画面边界;需要满宽或贴边时,先缩小检视器再拖。
  • 数值比手稳:面板右侧的 SizeRotate 数值字段,比鼠标拖拽更适合精细对齐。
  • Highlight 验选区:检视器左上角的 Highlight 按钮给受保护区域盖灰,将被调整的区域保持原样。
  • 羽化可以分边:矩形等形状的多个 Soft 数值各管一条边——只柔化与邻区相接的那条边,其余保持利落。

操作步骤STEPS

  1. 新建串行节点并命名(如 FOREGROUND),在中部面板打开 Window
  2. 选择形状并摆位:需要超出画框时,先滚轮缩小检视器,再拖控制点出界缩小检视器后把窗口拖出画框
  3. 用面板右侧 SizeRotate 数值精修,让窗口边缘贴合目标区域
  4. 点检视器左上角 Highlight 检查选区:灰色=受保护,正常显示=将被调整Highlight 模式下的选区验证
  5. 关闭 Highlight,在该节点上做调色
  6. 拉大相接边的 Soft 数值,把衔接处羽化到自然
  7. OverlayOff 隐藏轮廓线,按 Command-D/Ctrl-D 对比调整前后

练习PRACTICE

  1. 找一个前景背景分明的镜头:用矩形窗口罩住前景并压暗,用 Highlight 确认选区没有漏进背景。
  2. 只给相接的那条边加 Soft,切全屏(Command-F/Ctrl-F)检查还能不能看出边界。

常见问题FAQ

怎么确认遮罩到底罩住了哪里?

按检视器左上角 Highlight:盖灰的受保护,正常显示的是调整区;验完再按一下关闭。

窗口拖不出画面边缘怎么办?

先用鼠标滚轮(或 Command-减号/Ctrl-减号)缩小检视器,再把控制点拖到画框外。

窗口轮廓线不见了,是丢了吗?

不是。点检视器左下角 Overlay 选回 Power Window;切去别的面板也会隐藏轮廓,窗口本身还在。

形状太复杂,窗口画不出来怎么办?

两条路:换 Curve 钢笔徒手勾勒;或改用按颜色选择的限定器(见 限定器),再叠窗口做加减。

Window Masking is the complete workflow of drawing Power Window shapes to limit where an adjustment applies — the most fundamental isolation method in secondary grading. The craft is not drawing the shape; it is making the shape invisible.

  • Draw beyond the frame: control points can go past the frame edge; zoom the viewer out first when a window must span or hug the edges.
  • Numbers beat the mouse: the Size and Rotate fields on the palette's right side are better for precise alignment than dragging.
  • Verify with Highlight: the Highlight button (viewer's upper left) grays out protected areas while the area to be adjusted stays normal.
  • Feather edge by edge: shapes like the rectangle have several Soft values, one per edge — soften only the edge that meets its neighbor and keep the rest crisp.

Steps操作步骤

  1. Add a serial node and label it (e.g. FOREGROUND), then open Window in the center palettes
  2. Pick a shape and position it; to go beyond the frame, zoom the viewer out with the scroll wheel first, then drag the control points outDragging a window beyond the frame after zooming out
  3. Refine with the Size and Rotate fields on the palette's right until the window hugs the target area
  4. Click Highlight in the viewer's upper left: gray = protected, normal = will be adjustedVerifying the selection in Highlight mode
  5. Turn Highlight off and grade on this node
  6. Raise the Soft value of the joining edge until the blend looks natural
  7. Set Overlay to Off, then press Command-D/Ctrl-D to compare before and after

Practice练习

  1. Pick a shot with a clear foreground/background split: cover the foreground with a rectangular window, darken it, and use Highlight to confirm nothing leaks into the background.
  2. Feather only the joining edge with Soft, then go full screen (Command-F/Ctrl-F) and check whether any boundary still shows.

FAQ常见问题

How do I confirm exactly what the mask covers?

Press Highlight in the viewer's upper left: gray is protected, normal display is the adjustment area; press again to turn it off.

The window won't drag past the frame edge?

Zoom the viewer out first (scroll wheel or Command-minus/Ctrl-minus), then drag the control points beyond the frame.

The window outline disappeared — did I lose it?

No. Click Overlay in the viewer's lower-left corner and choose Power Window; switching to another palette hides the outline too, but the window is still there.

The shape is too complex to draw with a window?

Two options: switch to the Curve pen for a freehand outline, or select by color with the qualifier (see Qualifier) and add a window on top.
